System errors are messages that tell you that something is not right with your computer’s software or hardware. Many times these error codes are accompanied by a brief description which can help you to fix the issue. However it is important to note that not all error codes are designed to be the same. Certain error codes can be difficult to understand and not very useful. If you get an error message that reads «filename too long» It means that the name of your file or its extension might be too large for the system to handle. In this situation, reducing the filename length or releasing space on your hard drive would solve the problem.

Other error codes may indicate that the system could not access a hard drive device or that it attempted to use a file that is not there. These errors are usually the cause of your system’s to halt. You will see a screen of blue with a message regarding the system error.

Some older systems require that data conform to certain formats and will throw an error if there’s even the slightest deviation. Newer systems, on the other hand are more flexible and accommodating of data that doesn’t conform to the required format.
